Chance found a spot of soft grass near the stream and fell to her knees. He breathing was getting heavier and the pains worse than anything she'd ever felt before. She squealed softly as a massive contraction ripped through her.

Crash trotted to her side and lowered his head to his nose was touching her's. "You'll be fine," he promised quietly and licked her cheek. He lifted his head and looked at her belly.

Chance started to sweat and she collapsed onto her side, belly heaving. She gave a push and the foal started to try to wiggle and she winced, pushing again.

Crash sighed and he nuzzled her cheek again. He closed his eyes, he'd caught sight of the black body and he sighed lightly. This foal would probably be Chance's worst nightmare. -MWah ha ha ha  |

Chance gave a final push and her sturdy form went limp. Her eyes drifted slowly shut and her breathing slowed.

Crash shook his head and nudged her head. "Chance," he whispered desperatly.

Chance tried to open her eyes. She took a deep breath and pulled together all of her strength and sat up, reaching over to lick the foal. When she saw him, she hesitated, a strange feeling rising inside her.

Crash looked at the foal. It was a prefect replica of Storm, only smaller. It had a white stripe on it's nose and one of it's legs were white. Crash stepped back.

Chance watched the foal, not wanting to go near it, but her motherly instinct was overpowering. She reached out her nose to lick it dry.

The colt snorted at his mother but let her lick him.
"What shall he be called?" Crash whispered to Chance.

Chance struggled to her feet, tired and sore. She stood next to Crash and rested her head on his neck. "I dont know," she breathed. The colt was stunning, but something about him wasnt right...

Crash snorted and sighed. The colt looked at him and tried to stand, he got it the first time. "Mama?" he asked, his voice rough. Crash growled but shook his head.

Chance nudged Crash softly, then bent her head and nickered to the colt. He seemed to be alright, maybe Storm had no effect on him.

Crash sighed. "Unborn Fear," he mumbled and snorted. The colt looked at Crash, his eyes burning into Crash's. Crash returned his gaze and looked away instantly. The colt looked pleased with himself as he trtted slowly to Chance.

Chance frowned and stretched out her neck to nuzzle Crash. She nudged Fear, letting him drink.
