Holly stared out into the open. She felt empty. Dead. Her life was so.... messed up. Was she worth it? Was she worth all the trouble she had put everyone around her through? What about her mom? Horses were saying it was Holly's fault River had disappeared. Was it? Could it really be her fault? River was so strong, usually... Holly snorted, desperate for interaction with others. Would she just hurt them to if she got that, though? She blinked, irritated.

-You're back!
Jonas snorted and shook out his mane. He reared, pawing the air with his hooves. The sun peeked through the clouds and hit the coats of the horses. The familiar shine from Holly's coat caught his eye and he lifted his head, excited. He squinted and, once he realized it was her, he squealed and raced down to greet her.

~ I thought this site died... :S Holly turned her head, seeing Jonas. Panic and excitement and sadness and pure joy all ran through her at once, and it made her shiver. She couldn't help but smile though. Letting out a long whinny, she wondered what had happened the short time she was gone. But she would have to go again. She knew she would. She liked Jonas. Loved him. But would she be so selfish as to end up letting him get hurt just because she wanted him there? She knew he'd end up getting caught in her whirlwind life and it would spin him and around and throw him out. Would she let that happen to him? Holly wouldn't think about that now, though. She focused on the positive, not wanting to listen to the nagging voices in her head. Staying with him was what her selfish self wanted at the moment. So that's what she'd do. Sighing but unable to hide her happiness from his mere presence, she called out. "Jonas!" Her voice was high with excitement, and her knees trembled.

-nah, SS is the dead one Jonas trotted towards her and nuzzled her when he reached her, nickering softly. His eyes were glossy with tears of joy. "I missed you," he said softly, licking her cheek, feeling stupid for everything he'd done while she was away.

~ Hey! Congrats! You have more posts than me now Holly couldn't help but smile, her fears and worrisome thoughts erased. She stepped closer to him, nuzzling her head into his neck, her tears falling into his mane. She sighed, a light, fragile sigh, and spoke without ceasing to nuzzle him. "I've missed you as well, Love." A sigh released from her lungs again. "What's happened while I've been away?" Her voice was not suspicious or worried, just curious.

-lol not by much though!
Jonas nickered and nuzzled her. "Well," he began, "Mom died, but she's back. Thunder's back again, Dad came home, Pride's back, and I've become mortal enemies with the most skilled warrior in all of Necromancy." He quickly looked the opposite direction as he said the last one. Cobalt was definetly capable of killing him, and would in an instant, if Moon let him. He owed his life to that mare. She was the only power in Necromancy that was able to control Cobalt, besides Cobalt himself. Jonas winced as he shifted his weight, the huge gash on his neck from Cobalt starting to ooze again.

~ Enough to make me jealous rofl
bic: Holly followed his gaze, thinking he was wincing at something he was looking at. She listened sadly. "How on earth did you manage to do that?" She said, turning back to him, and raised her eyebrow. She saw the wound on his neck and snorted in surprise, but waited for him to answer.

Jonas shook his head, slowly turning it back to her. "I tried to take his mare for our herd, and I underestimated how powerful he was," he said, wincing again as blood began to flow from his wound again. No matter how he moved, the wound always broke open again, never healing. Cobalt knew how to injure another in the right way. Jonas lifted his head a bit higher, saying, "I beat him in our latest battle though," as though his one small victory would make everything better.

Holly shook her head. "I swear to God if you try to fight him again, Jonas.." she muttered, and blinked. "Ah, that Moon mare? Yeah, she'd quite popular, ain't she? I heard Snow was trying to take her for his herd." She snorted.

Jonas sighed and nodded. He nuzzled her softly. "For you, I wont," he promised her. He smiled then. "Yes she is, I suppose," he said, thinking of the white mare.

Holly sighed and nodded, wondering if she should straight out tell him what she did while she was gone, or if she should wait for him to ask. She looked at him and blinked.
"Let's go back to the herd then," she breathed.

Jonas nodded and turned to walk back to the plateau. "What've you been doing while you've been gone?" he asked, nuzzling her.

"Ah, that," Holly said, deciding she'd just pour out the truth. She smiled and continued walking back with him. "Well, Snow sort of came here to talk to me.. he sort of got mad with all of the family trouble I'd gotten into and stuff, and then he almost killed himself when he refused to go back to the cold climate when he was panting hard and drenched in sweat. It didn't exactly turn out well." She skipped short of the details, cutting straight to the chase.

Jonas frowned. "He's ok though, right?" he asked. His curiousity got the better of him. "Tell me everything that happened. What trouble?" he said, touching her nose as they walked.

Holly dipped her head lower and sighed. She looked up at him, her head still bowed, and spoke slowly. "Yes, he's fine... I'd rather not talk now though, if you don't mind Love." She raised a hoof and scraped it against the soft earth, scraping mud back, completely stopped now.
