Star snorted, beginning to ever so slightly grow tired. He slid to a stop, leaves flying up around him, brown and orange with the forever-autumn weather on the trails.
He looked back at the the small group he had gather, sighed slightly, pulled a tight smile, and turned back, calling out.
"KT! Rave! Krouching Tiger? RAVE!?"

Jason slowed to a walk,and poked his head through some bushes"Krouching Tiger?Rave?Come out come out where ever you are!"he called.He pulled his head out of the bushes,then trotted over to another set of bushes and did the same.
Champ walked down the trail a wayss and looked behind trees,bushes,and tall grass."Krouching Tiger? Rave?"he called,over and over again.

Star looked back and smiled weakly, a small sign of his thanks. He looked up at the sky. The sun was setting. He trotted forward and then broke into a canter, racing down the trails. He knew the others would follow.
"KT? Kay Teee!" He tried to stretch his voice to as loud as it would go.
Something quietly stirred in the bushes beside him as he passed.

Champ leaped into a canter a few feet behind Star."Krouching Tiger? Rave?Krouching Tiger?! Rave?!"He called,looking side from side on the trail.
Jason trotted behind Champ and Star,slowing every now and then to look behind a tree or two."Krouching Tiger? Rave?Krouching Tiger? Rave?"he called.

Star sighed as he slowed down, finally stopping. He turned around and shushed the two, making it clear he was listening. His eyes widened and he trotted directly to the side, then he looked back at Champ and Jason, now frozen in shock.
From the bushes directly to the left of him, a snarl ripped through the air, ringing through the twilight. One who looked in the direction of the sound would see a pair if glowing eyes, fierce and hungry looking.

Jason slide to a stop,in hearing the snarl.He froze in his tracks in seeing the glowing eyes in the darkness.He snorted loudly,but stayed where he was.He looked in the corner of his eyes to see where Champ was.
Champ snortted in ignoring the snarl.He had a secret,that no one but him and his brother knew,and that secret was that he was a devil horse,like his father and his brother,but he had tried to ignore the devil in him.He shook his head in clearing his thoughts and stopped in his tracks.He looked at Star then at Jason"What?What is it?"he asked,flickering his ears,still ignoring the snarl.

Star blinked slowly, quite unsure of what to do. He raised a hoof in defense, ready to strike.
Out of the bushes crawled a wolf, black as a moonless night. Another snarl ripped from her throat, and she let out a short howl in excitement. She slinked forward slowly, eying the three. "Oh, don't you just look absolutely delicious?" she cooed, now looking at Jason. She smiled, showing a row of razor-sharp teeth.

Jason stood still,not to dare move an inch,nor blink.He snorted once,then twice,then glanced down at the wolf.Chills ran up and down his back,woundering if he should fight,or run.
Champ snorted at the wolf,then turned around and walked off,but only to hid,and wait,to see what happens.He would easily fight if she made the wrong move.

Naoki grinned again, and turned to look at Star.
"No!" The simple word would've escaped Star's mouth and echoed off the trees with pure volume, but he was so stricken with fear he could only the mouth the word. Naoki licked her lips. "I shan't bother you or these horse you look for." Star's eyes still widened at the thought, and he looked at Jason, feeling horrible for bringing the stallion into this.
The pitch black wolf stepped towards Jason, then began to run towards him, now growling fiercely.
"No!" The word now echoes off the trees as they were suppose to the first time, and Star could finally move again.

Jjason squealed loudly,wheeling around,with a hard kick,to the wolf's head.He reared up high,leaping into a gallop.He ran faster and faster,not looking back,he ran untill he was out of the trails,and didnt stop untill he reached his home.

Star's eyes widened but he squeezed them shut, not wanting to have to look any longer. He knew his battle was lost.
Naoki growled and lunged forward, dodging the kick to her head easily. She let her long, shiny teeth go for Champ's leg, now practically drooling with hunger.

Champ sqeualed loudly,as he fell to the ground.He looked at the wolf,then closed his eyes.Had his devilness left him for good?Would this be the end of his life?He kicked out his hind leg,in hoping that it would hit the wolf.

Naoki snarled madly and Star couldn't help but to open his eyes. His head swirled at the site.
Red. Everywhere, red. It was a peircing, horrid color and it was all around him.
Blood.
Star let out a shrill cry and then turned to run away as fast as he could. Naoki snickered and looked back to Champ. Suddenly a flash of black was in the air, and before she realized what it was something hard hit her skull. She blacked out.

Champ laid weakly on the ground.He couldnt get up,his leg had been broken,when he fell.He closed his eyes,wishing the pain would go away.He laid his ear back in pain,of his leg,then opened his eyes again.He lifted his head a bit to look at the wolf.He laid his head back down and closed his eyes.He was slowly bleeding to death.He began to lose air.He was dieing.
