Snowflake smiled, seeing the familar sights of Moonherd. She sighed, looking down at Lonesome, who was overjoyed. Mama, is this where we live? She asked, tilting her head. It is now, my dear Princess Snowflake smiled, a slight breeze blowing through her mane. They walked down the slope and into Moonherd, where Snowflake regonized many faces. Sighing, she nudged Lonesome and walked to the river. Lonesome squealed, leaping fowards after her mother. She didn't want to leave her side in this strange place. Like Snowflake, Lonesome was the only filly in the family. So, now there were two mares in the family that was, but now isn't. The grey mare hoped the Alpha would be alright with her staying her and all, but she also hoped that Lonesome grow to be a joyful, non-depressed filly.

Lonesome nudged her mother, Mama Princess, where is my papa? she asked, tilting her head. Princess sighed, My dear Lonesome, I will tell you in due time. When you are older, I'm afraid. For now, I'm just gonna say that he is a tall, black, handsome stallion that flirts with every mare in sight. He betrayed me and your brother, Mystery, but now that is all done and he no longer cares about you dear Mama Princess She said, tears welling up in her eyes. Oh, how much she would do to keep her filly happy and not feel heartbroken like her. She had told her to call her Princess and hadn't told her that Snowflake is what her name use to be. Now, it was just Princess, no longer Snowflake. Mama Princess, why are you crying? Lonesome had asked frequently. The past just gets me all upset is all, darling. I wish not to speak of it now. It's still too early Was always Princess' response.

Lonesome was already starting to look like her mother now. Her baby coat had shed out and blonde appeared on the tips of her mane and tail. A blaze went down her face, just like Princess'. She was now one year old and was growing quickly. Her coat was a mix between grey and brown, Grulla. Her eyes were big and brown, just like her mother's eyes. The only thing she had of her father's trait was his body structure. She had his head, legs, hooves, back, and neck. Princess could see her old mate in her filly, which made her want to well up in tears, but she always held them back. The Grulla filly had the adventurous mood just like her mother had so many years ago. She would always explore in the forest and knew everything that awaited there.
Princess on the other hand looked different in a few ways. Her light grey coat was now dark grey, looking more like a blue roan. Her white legs, face, and roan hairs stood out more. The blonde tips had gotten even blonder than before. Her eyes had softened extremely and so did her voice. All of her old habbits had disappeared, the pawing, jealousy, just about everything. When she got angry, she held back her anger and talked the situation out. Seeing other couples brought back old memories, but she smiled, glad they were happy together. For she was once happy with her mate, but now she was a maidal with the cutest daughter.
One day, Princess and Secret (Moon's daughter) were talking up a storm about many subjects. Ever since Secret met Princess, she stopped going into the forest and hiding from all the rest of the herd. They were very good friends now, being both maidals and all. They felt eachother's pain, but never really spoke of it. Lonesome went exploring into the forest, going further than she usually did. She could hear horses close by, seeing light and the end of the forest. Was it another herd? She leaped foward in excitement, bursting out of the forest and into mysterious herd she had never laid eyes on...

Princess looked around, wondering where Lonesome had run off to. Not seeing her, she thought she might've went into the forest and played with some deer or squirrels again. Secret smiled at Princess, She is surely fine. Don't fret over her, being she is one year old now She said. Princess nodded, I hope your right, but I just have this awkward feeling something is going to happen. I really do, but I wish that I could end this suffering of my past, Secret She said, lowering her head. 'Tis mighty hard to forget for what you have been through, but you have that cute little filly now that loves you. Enjoy her company while it lasts and feel carefree every now and again, like you have been doing Secret said, wisely. Princess nodded again, Secret, your such a nice gut friend. My prayers go to you and my Lonesome filly, and maybe for all of those who were in my past, even him She said, sighing. The thought of her ex mate made her want to break down crying, even though she had said some things she didn't really mean. Yelling like that at Spirit Ridge wasn't too good on her shoulders. If only she knew he was listening. Now, he probably is with another mare, more beautiful and not as compassionate about him, but less tense. They probably have a family started already and poor Mystery would have to see his father with another mare. Oh how much she missed her colt. He had defended her many times, but she failed him and ran off. Since he came back, Mystery would never be able to become Alpha, which he knew he was good and well ready to be. Fighting back tears, Princess cleared her mind, becoming less upset about her past. Now she didn't even think about crying. All she could do now was laugh and feel dumb about her past.
